Walter and I have been married for five fun, wonderful, never dull years! It is hard to believe it has actually been five years as we have been together for 11 years! :) We have tried to do something each year on our anniversary weekend- whether it is Galveston, going out to eat, etc. Last year was the stay close to home since we had a one month old- this year we decided to go to an indoor waterpark in Grapevine Texas and we had a blast! We left Friday morning and for the most part they did pretty good- occasional scream from Kara and whine to watch Wonder Pets from Carter but they were good travelers. Especially as they slept! :) The first night Kara had a rough night but the second night she slept right through and I was up checking on her. Carter was thrilled to be able to see airplanes from our hotel window as we were close to DFW airport. He loved yelling "plane, plane" and wanted us to see each one. Kara was glad that I brought along some toys and her baby to give her something to play with when we were in the room. Unless she was busy pulling all the tissues out of the tissues box in the bathroom! Or sitting on the suitcase eating a snack before bed!
There were a total of 9 slides in the waterpark- Walter managed to go down 8 of them and I did 3! You can tell that Walter loved this anniversary trip! :) I was content watching Carter shook water and go down the slides in the kiddie area and carry Kara around EVERYWHERE!!! She didn't really seem to care too much about the waterpark- but did play a little bit in the outdoor pool. Overall, we had a great time and Walter already wants to book our next stay!
Friday night Radio Disney was there and Carter participated in a hula hoop contest. Needless to say all his age group got a prize for being the best hulla hooper! When we weren't swimming or eating Carter wanted to ride the "school bus", which was a hot dog car. They had an arcade there and that is what we used our tokens for!
